In the autumn of 1982, I participated with two photographs in the acclaimed exhibition Bländande bilder, ung ny svensk fotografi, at Moderna museet in Stockholm. At the same time, an exhibition by the Swedish artist Olle Baertling was shown at the same museum.
The following year, there was an exhibition at Moderna museet called Ryskt avantgarde. It consisted of paintings from the collection of art collector George Costakis. Both of these exhibitions made a great impact on me as a young photographer.
I began experimenting with creating abstract motifs with my large-format camera, a backlight through a plexiglass sheet and colored paper. Some of the photographs from this series were included in the traveling exhibition 8 svenska fotografer arranged by the publisher DOG.
Then the project fell into oblivion until a few years ago when I found the pictures, scanned them and started working on the project again, this time digitally.
